This is the standard recipe, but I tend to add more cucumbers to my Green Refresh drink because, well, I like cucumbers and the amount of water that’s in them. When I increase the amount of cucumbers, the juice has a slight take to it.
If you prefer more or a juicier taste then I would suggest adding more apples. Adding more celery will give it more of a water taste, but also makes it saltier. Adjust things to your liking.
This juice is great if you need a boost of vitamin C. The spinach and the green apples are to thank for that.
Can I substitute celery for something else?
Yes. To keep the Green Revive green, you can use zucchini. Zucchini, just like celery, has a good amount of water content, and has a mild flavor that will not overpower your juice.
Can I swap spinach for kale?
Sure. Kale is great a too, if you are wanting a stronger flavor. Kale is also high in calcium.
I can’t get enough vitamin c, are there any other ingredients for this?
Add a citrus to your juice, like lemon or lime. Not only will you get an even more healthier does of vitamin c, but you may enjoy the tanginess too.
The green apple is not sweet enough to me. What’s is another altenative?
There is always red apples, if you want the juice to maintain it name of being a green juice, then slice off the red hull, and juice the other parts of the red apple. You can also add pears, or ripe pineapple chunks. Hmmm..I may give the pears a try next time.
